RSPCA Internship

From a young age, I always wanted to be able to work at the RSPCA. I remember them visiting my school and telling us about the organisation. I liked the fact they helped animals, nurtured them and helped them find their forever homes. This played a big impact on why I chose to volunteer as a photographer with the RSPCA.

At present, I am taking pictures of animals for advertising  and campaigns against animal abuse or neglect.  My goal is to see the progression of the animals and to spread awareness to as many people as possible about animal welfare.

The day I volunteer is definitely my favourite day of the week!   It is heart breaking to see the condition of some dogs when they come in, but seeing the difference when they are ready for adoption makes it worthwhile. It gives me a sense of satisfaction, knowing I am playing a part of changing animals’ lives.
